The Phantom of the Opera

Yesterday Whitney and I had the incredible opportunity to go see Phantom at the Paramount in Seattle with Kailey & Sheli Franklin. What an experience! Sheli was able to get us tickets months ago through a work associate at the school and we had awesome seats! I was thinking we would be up in the balcony or way in the back, but we were on the main floor, right in the middle and only about 15 rows from the stage. The costumes, jewelry, set designs, actors, actresses, voices and music were fantastic! Like Whitney said, it was over too quickly (a 2 1/2 hour production). I've seen the movie at least 10 times and didn't think the play would be as good, but loving the music I sure wanted to see the play and of course the play was just as good if not better. WOW! I even cried at the end. I was just so caught up in the love story that I could feel all the emotions one feels with the experience of amazing music. What an experience. I can't believe it took me 40 years to do it but so blessed I got to do it with my daughter and great friends.

First Day of School - September 2nd

It's been a family tradition for the last 7 years to take a photo on the front porch before school. Whitney is in 10th grade this year at WHS. Austin is a 6th grader at Foothills Middle School. They sure grow up fast! It's seems like yesterday Whitney was starting Kindergarten. And here we are just three years away from high school graduation. It sure goes fast!

New Arrival - Birthdate May 2008

It's finally done after 5 years. Isn't it amazing? It's been a fun journey and now we get to enjoy all our hard work. It's a blast to take a ride in it! Kind of scary and adrenaline pumping at the same time, depending on how much you enjoy loud engine noises and speeding down the road. Burnouts are pretty fun too. Just ask Austin if you want to know how fast his Dad really drives the hot rod. Vroom..Vroom....Squeal... He will tell you.

We took it out Apple Blossom weekend for the first time during the Classy Chassis parade. Then the next day at that same car show Preston took 1st place in his division and brought home a nice winner's plaque. If you want to see more cool photos check out his award winning web site . There are lots of photos with Austin and his Daddy working on the car. You won't believe what we started with compared to the finished product. Preston does amazing car work as you can see. This is definitely one of his many talents. Enjoy!
